Serving Our Community In Difficult Times

Thank you for visiting the Vero Beach Rowing Fall Fundraising Page! We have struggled (as everyone has) to adapt to this year's COVID-19 restrictions. We successfully found ways to provide greater rowing opportunities to the youth and adults of Indian River County this spring, summer and fall. With your help we can do so much more!

Your contributions will enable us to grow our youth rowing programs to leverage our new Toffey Community Rowing Center to better serve our county along with our outreach partners Boys & Girls Club, Crossover Mission, Hibiscus Children's Center and the Homeless Children's Foundation.

Our goal this fall is to raise over $30,000 through our Erg-A-Thon, an event that will test and strengthen our athletes physical fitness, personal character and their ethics of cooperation. Starting at 10:00am on December 12 at our Boathouse, teams of rowers will keep their rowing machine spinning for 42,195 meters - a full marathon 26.2 mile distance! Each of our club's athletes has been challenged to raise at least $700 to meet our goal.

This summer we provided 72 campers with 160 weeks of instruction, all while changing our instruction model from team boats to individual single shells due to COVID-19. Over 30% of our campers received assistance from our scholarship fund.

We are looking for your help but we don't expect to be given support without showing you our passion and dedication to each other, to the community, and to our club's mission: "To promote and teach the sport of rowing to the community in order to develop physical fitness, personal character and an ethic of cooperation through competitive and recreational opportunities".

We are proud of our young athletes and we hope that you will join us in acknowledging and rewarding their commitment through a tax deductible gift to Vero Beach Rowing (a 501-c(3) non-profit).

Starting a fundraiser is easy to do, and it's fun. We'll give you all the tools you'll need to make a difference. Please help us ensure our ability to serve the youth of Indian River County.

By working as an Erg-a-thon fundraiser for Vero Beach Rowing you will help us reach our goal, and you'll help your friends feel good about doing good!
