Support Community Rowing in Indian River County!

Join me in supporting the good work that Vero Beach Rowing does to provide healthy outdoor exercise for the youth of Indian River County. This year (now more than ever), we need to increase our efforts!

Our goal this fall is to raise over $30,000 through our Erg-A-Thon, an event that will test and strengthen our athletes physical fitness, personal character and their ethics of cooperation. Starting at 10:00am on December 12 at our new Community Boathouse, teams of rowers will keep their rowing machine spinning for 42,195 meters - a full marathon 26.2 mile distance! Each of our club's athletes has been challenged to raise at least $700 to meet our goal.

Being a part of the rowing team has made an impact on my life for the better. I began rowing about three months ago. I was nervous to try a new sport. Luckily, all of the coaches and team mates were extremely kind and supportive. In these past few months, I have had the opportunity to flourish as an athlete. I absolutely love rowing, and I hope to continue to row in the future. I have learned the importance of teamwork and now have a safe outlet to escape from the harsh reality of COVID-19.
