I've witnessed rowing transform lives! Your support will make the joy of rowing more accessible to our entire community. We'll use each $ for scholarships and equipment to be enjoyed by both youth and adult rowers. This year more than ever the healthy outdoor exercise that Vero Beach Rowing provides our community is invaluable. Please help us increase our impact.
Our goal this fall is to raise over $30,000 through our Erg-A-Thon, an event that will test and strengthen our athletes physical fitness, personal character and their ethics of cooperation. Starting at 10:00am on December 12 at our new Community Boathouse, teams of rowers will keep their rowing machine spinning for 42,195 meters - a full marathon 26.2 mile distance! Each of our club's athletes has been challenged to raise at least $700 to meet our goal.
As a member of the board and parent to a youth rower, I see how vital the club has been in my daughter's well-being. I'm proud to see how the club serves others in the community through a vibrant membership of adult rowers and an ardent program for sponsoring disadvantaged youth.
