Support Community Rowing in Indian River County!

Join me in supporting the good work that Vero Beach Rowing does to provide healthy outdoor exercise for the youth of Indian River County. This year (now more than ever), we need to increase our efforts!

Our goal this fall is to raise over $30,000 through our Erg-A-Thon, an event that will test and strengthen our athletes physical fitness, personal character and their ethics of cooperation. Starting at 10:00am on December 12 at our new Community Boathouse, teams of rowers will keep their rowing machine spinning for 42,195 meters - a full marathon 26.2 mile distance! Each of our club's athletes has been challenged to raise at least $700 to meet our goal.

After watching my two children train and compete in this sport they encouraged me to begin rowing. That coupled with watching them grow as athletes and teammates moved me to become a coach. Any of the youth who come to Vero Beach Rowing ready to take on the challenge of hard work and teamwork can benefit as well. No experience is necessary. The joy of coaching is watching the new rowers grow as members of the rowing community as well as their continued accomplishments as they move on.

The experience of rowing and coaching continues to challenge me to work hard and support the members of the Vero Beach Rowing community as they support me. With your help we can expand our programs so more kids in Indian River County can join our team and benefit from this experience.
