Vero Beach Rowing Erg-a-Thon

Dear Family and Friends,

As you may know, I am a rower for Vero Beach Rowing (VBR), an amazing community nonprofit rowing club comprised of approximately 85 student-athletes/members. Rowing is such an amazing, challenging sport that requires huge dedication and commitment.

Each fall our team organizes an “Erg-A-Thon” to raise funds. An Erg-A-Thon is a classic crew fundraising event where athletes row a specified time on rowing machines (ergs) showing their passion and commitment to their sport and boathouse and hopefully earning the right to ask for your donation! My team will be rowing 26.2 miles (42,165 meters) to raise money for youth athletes. Our goal is to fund scholarships to help make our club more accessible to all athletes. Any additional funds raised will help purchase safe equipment and support operating costs for the 2023-24 crew season.

Personally, rowing has impacted my life because it brings me joy, self-confidence, and I love the physical and mental challenge that the sport provides. The challenge helps me push myself so I can be a better rower! No donation is too small! Please consider donating to help other athletes to get an amazing opportunity to participate in this wonderful sport!

The rowing experience has challenged me to work hard and support my teammates as they support me. With your help, we can expand our programs so more kids in the Treasure Coast area can join our team and benefit from this experience.
