Support Community Rowing in Indian River County!

Join me in supporting the good work that Vero Beach Rowing does to provide healthy outdoor exercise for the youth of Indian River County. This year (now more than ever), we need to increase our efforts!

Our goal this fall is to raise over $25,000 through our Erg-A-Thon, an event that will test and strengthen our athletes physical fitness, personal character and their ethics of cooperation. Starting at 10:00am on October 16 at our Toffey Community Rowing Boathouse, teams of rowers will keep their rowing machine spinning for 42,195 meters - a full marathon 26.2 mile distance! Each of our club's athletes has been challenged to raise at least $700 to meet our goal.

The rowing experience has challenged me as a person. When I started rowing I didn’t have a lot of friends but when I started rowing I met so many people through rowing. Rowing is such a fun sport and really helps me get motivated to workout. When I started rowing in middle school it was a lot fun and it wasn’t as serious. Then I moved to Novice and it got more serious and I felt that I was really part of the team and I got super into rowing. Then the races got more fun because you get more chances to get more medals. Then, once I went to sweep states it was the best time ever, then once I got second in the state it was made my motivation and stronger to get better and work harder. And now with all my hard work I am now getting a chance to be on the girls varsity team being coached by such an amazing coach If you donate then it gives us more chances to get more equipment, so then we as a team can get better! I really hope that I get better in the next 2 years so then I have a chance to go to college for rowing. Which is my dream to do. It would mean everything to donate anything to our team!!
