Support Community Rowing in Indian River County!

Join me in supporting the good work that Vero Beach Rowing does to provide healthy outdoor exercise for the youth of Indian River County. This year (now more than ever), we need to increase our efforts!

Our goal this fall is to raise over $25,000 through our Erg-A-Thon, an event that will test and strengthen our athletes physical fitness, personal character and their ethics of cooperation. Starting at 10:00am on October 16 at our Toffey Community Rowing Boathouse, teams of rowers will keep their rowing machine spinning for 42,195 meters - a full marathon 26.2 mile distance! Each of our club's athletes has been challenged to raise at least $700 to meet our goal.

Rowing is such a big part of my life; I am there for five days a week for over two hours. There’s honestly no other place I’d rather be. My self esteem has been greatly boosted as I workout and get better at what I do. Not to mention, I’ve met some of my best friends to rowing. Donations make this all possible. With the money made from this fundraiser alone, we improve our equipment and make it possible for more people to learn why this sport is so great.

The most important feature of this fundraiser is funding our success! By donating, you make regattas possible for our team. This year, we have Head of the South in Georgia, as well as state championships. The goal is also to make it to Regional and National Championships. Each regatta, we need to bring all our equipment, and fuel out bodies to perform. Also, you can help fund our scholarship fund, which makes it possible for more new people to participate and learn to love the sport.

Overall, Vero Beach Rowing has taught me how to take care of my body, and introduced me to so many amazing people. Any donation makes a huge difference
